Inter Library / Resource Sharing
The Centre has agreements for borrowing of documents from libraries anywhere in the country, and vice versa. LIC continues to be on the Network of most of the Libraries and Information Centers (NICs) in India on mutual exchange basis. LIC is a member of Library Networks which promote resource sharing among member libraries. Information such as Bibliographic databases, Catalogues on books, databases of Periodical articles, databases of Thesis and dissertations that are available at the member institutions can be accessed by all the members of SBMJCE LIC. In some of the cases, like the DELNET, online access to Abstracts and Full Text information on research publications is also provided.

Started at the India International Centre Library (IICL) in January 1988, DELNET is today a registered society. It was initially supported by the National Information System for Science and Technology (NISSAT), Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.
Subsequently, it got support from the National Informatics Centre, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. DELNET has been established with the prime objective of promoting resource sharing among the libraries through the development of a network of libraries. It aims to collect, store, and disseminate information besides offering computerised services to users, to coordinate efforts for suitable collection development and also to reduce unnecessary duplication wherever possible
DELNET
(Developing Library Network, New Delhi): DELNET is a registered society, promoted by National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Information Technology. It promotes resource sharing, computerised services to users and reduction of unnecessary duplication of information. It provides access to DELNET databases such as Online Union Catalog of books, List of Current Periodicals, bibliographic database of CD-ROMs available, database of Thesis and Dissertation submitted to various Indian Universities, a Who's Who on Indian Specialists and many more important databases.
